Today, December 21st, 2022, marks the shortest day and the longest night of the year. It’s Winter Solstice. Solstice derives from the two Latin words, sol - meaning “sun” and sistere - meaning “stand still”.
It is believed that this day also marks the re-birthing of the sun and thus the re-birthing of nature. Since we are part of nature, you can say in good faith that it is also a kind of rebirth for us.
