EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is an innovative, gentle and amazingly effective method to relieve stress, negative feelings and physical pain in a short time. Sometimes even in a matter of minutes.
Also known as tapping, EFT is based on the latest findings in psychology and neurobiology. It is free of any esoteric or pseudo-scientific dogmas and practices. Similar to acupuncture, EFT is built on the meridian system, which is why it is often called the psychological or emotional version of acupuncture.
It is known that all negative emotions that come from physical or emotional pain are the result of a disruption in the body’s energy system. These blockages challenge us emotionally and can lead to limiting behaviours and beliefs. This can cause symptoms such as low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, addictive behaviours and even chronic illness.

The origins of the practice
EFT involves the use of tapping with fingertips therefore it is non-invasive and pain free. By tapping on the meridian end points, blockages and disruptions are able to be cleared. This is done in a combination of thinking and referring to a specific issue. The tapping sends pulses of energy which rebalances the body’s energy system in relation to the specific issue.
EFT was introduced by Gary Craig in 1995 and draws its power from alternative medicine including acupuncture, energy medicine Thought Field Therapy (TFT) and other Eastern practices that have been around for over 5,000 years.
